MaintenanceLubricate the drivetrain regularly. The stems needs to be checked (for free) in your store after 6 months of use. Do not clean with a high pressure water jet.

- Technical details
Transport : once the bike is folded, it can be wheeled and steered by the saddle. This means that the bike can be wheeled without having to carry it on public transport.
Frame and fork : 6061 aluminium frame that is lighter and more rigid than a steel frame for improved pedalling power and excellent feel in the saddle.
Drive train : equipped with a Shimano Tourney 7-speed derailleur, the Hoptown 5 is very versatile and behaves in a similar way to a full-sized bike. The gear change shifter is a "push pull" system that is simpler to use than twist grips. Gear changes are quick and precise. 52-tooth chainring, 7-speed freewheel: 28, 24, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14 tooth. The pedals fold using a press button system to minimise the space occupied by the bike.
Brakes : we have selected V-brakes with aluminium callipers to provide powerful and progressive braking.
Handlebars / stem / head tube : flat handlebar, height-adjustable stem for modifying the steering position. The stem hinge in made of forged aluminium for strength and therefore, rider safety.
Saddle / seatpost : Btwin Hoptown stitched saddle. Aluminium seatpost.
Wheels and tyres : 20 x 1.75 city tyres, single wall aluminium wheels.
Folding / unfolding : The Hoptown 5 folds up in 15 seconds, reducing space occupied by the bike by 60%! It can easily be stored at home, at the office, in the boot of a car or on public transport. Side folding, anodised green folding levers for intuitive use.
Pedals : the pedals can be easily folded away with a simple press button system to save space. Once the pedals and stem have been folded away, it can be stored beside a wall (26cm wide).
Accessories / parts : front and rear battery-powered lighting. Side stand, mudguard on rails with protective rubber flap.
Folded bike size (volume = 0.19m3) : Once folded, the Hoptown is very compact so that it can be easily stored in small spaces around the house, the office, the boot of a car, a camping car or a boat. 61% space-saving compared to the unfolded bike. Length: 80cm, width: 36 cm, height: 66cm.
Unfolded bike size (volume = 0.49m3) : The Hoptown has been designed to provide a comfortable and effective riding position. Length: 150cm, width: 96 cm, height: 66cm.
